Weight Loss Success Stories
Often our clients are so grateful they are anxious to share their weight loss success stories with us. Here are a few.
Dear Friends at A Balanced Weigh,
I write to thank you for your guidance and support during my weight loss journey. Pam has been my coach. I have tried a number of programs over the years and I have never encountered such a knowledgeable and supportive coach.
Pam celebrates the positive results with me, and helps me through the struggles. She has incredibly helpful strategies, she knows how to anticipate and plan for challenges, she knows an enormous amount about nutrition, and most of all, she is encouraging when things don’t go as planned.
I never feel like I want to quit if I’ve had a bad day because I know Pam will encourage me to pick myself up and get back on track. The food is delicious and the variety is very satisfying.
I am so thankful I have found Pam and this diet!
I have been on the diet plan for five months. I lost 29 pounds during the first two and half months to reach my weight loss goal. I have been on the maintenance phase for the past month and half. I have been impressed with the A Balanced Weigh diet plan for the following reasons:
- The initial weight loss program is well controlled. It has variety in the special diet products and with the variety of vegetables you can eat with these products, you do not feel deprived or hunger. The eating diary helps you develop discipline on what you eat and provides information to the counselor, Pam Brown on guiding you on your diet plan.
- The gradual transition phase off of the diet products to regular food is very helpful. You see how your body reacts to different foods and you learn how to adjust your selection of different foods. The challenge is to keep the weight off and this approach is the most effective one I have experienced on any diet plan.
- The guidance continuation after you reach your weight loss goal has been very helpful and reassuring. It starts weekly and increases to monthly and gives you the confidence to control your diet on your own. You do not have a sink or swim feeling. You also become accustomed to your new way of eating without feeling deprived or bored with the food selection. You have the counselor available to answer questions and to give you tips or suggestions.
I am very pleased with my experiences with this plan.
Pam is a great coach. I worked with her on and off for about 3 years. The most challenging time is AFTER weight loss. Pam helped me change the way I shop, cook, eat and think about food. I’ve maintained most of my weight loss and am healthier than ever. Thanks Pam and Jane!
I met with Pam at her West Hartford office on June 27, 2016. I had my initial weight consultation on her “magic scale.” The scale breaks out your weight into various categories including water weight, lean muscle mass and fat etc. Not surprising, my results were awful. Read the entire story
Pam carefully reviewed my results with me. She never made me feel bad or like a failure. She was very kind but honest, “You are not healthy.” She discussed how her plan is not about the number of pounds, but the overall health and how there are multiple components to the diet including maintenance, which is where I have failed every time before.
I was sold and immediately signed the papers to start her plan. I purchased the foods I needed from her (which are delicious) and headed to the grocery store for the rest. I started my new diet the next morning on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
Fast forward to September 16, 2016. I am not hungry. I have tons of energy. I am not exercising like a mad woman. It has been just over 11 weeks and I am down 30.5 lbs (with the majority of those pounds being fat loss.) My BMI has improved and I feel and look so much better. I still have a long way to go, but I feel so proud of myself and I actually look forward to getting on the magic scale at my weekly weigh-ins.
Just like any other plan it does take personal willpower to stay on track, but this program does make it easier. This time I am keeping my promises. I will share more of my journey as I continue down this path, but for now my parting words are if any of this resonated with you, please reach out to Pam.
